The marketing gurus know how to get into childrens heads and how to get their most wanted response. They know that children can and do influence their parents when it comes to food purchases.</p>
<p>On an average children view over 40,000 commercials a year most of which are for candies, cereals, toys, and fast food restaurants. In other words, kids aren&#8217;t afraid to kick and scream to get their parents to buy something. Fast food advertising to children is all about Pester Power and marketers rely on children to nag the parents rather than market to the parents directly. They know that marketing to children will net higher results. Marketers break Pester Power down into 2 categories. Persistence nagging and importance nagging. Persistence nagging is begging repeatedly . Importance nagging, on the other hand, is what marketers rely on. This is all about providing for their children and the guilt that comes with not being available enough for their kids. There are many tactics used in fast food advertising to children such as toys included with meals and monopoly game pieces. Fast food businesses will claim that this is to provide a more pleasant visit to their store for the parents but in reality it is baiting children to desire fast food.</p>

<p>Reality is we live in a fast food wonderland and that isn’t going to go away anytime soon. It is so easy to hit a drive thru with the busy schedules we keep. A lot of people are in such a rush they end up eating fast food at least once a day some up to three times a day.</p>
<p>At least half of those people are either on a diet, have been on a diet, or considering a diet. Unless you know the right choices to make while visiting your favorite meal on wheels you will soon lose interest in your dieting goal.</p>
<p>Here are a few tips if you need to keep the fast food flowing through your body but you want to lose weight.</p>
<p>The first thing you should do if you have to keep pumping fast food meals in your body is change your breakfast habits. Now a lot of fast food junkies don’t eat breakfast so when it comes to lunch time even though your brain says small fries your mouth yells out large fries…large fries…I want large fries…please. So instead of skipping breakfast grab a meal bar high in fiber. You can get fiber one bars in the cereal isle of your favorite grocery store. Out of all the meal bars I have tried they are my favorite and they are cheaper then most. Depending on your weight try having two to be satisfied. The fiber will help keep you feeling full and regular.</p>
<p>Lunch time rolls around and it’s time to hit your favorite drive thru. Here are some of my “what to order items” from a few of the most widely available fast food restaurants:</p>
<p>McDonalds</p>
<p>Put down the quarter pounder with cheese at a whopping 510 calories; order a cheese burger for 300 calories or a double cheese burger for 440 calories.  If you are a chicken sandwich person order the Southern style chicken sandwich only 400 calories verses the 630 in a crispy chicken club. Go for the small fries. Enjoy salads? Order the Caesar with grilled chicken for only 220 calories. The highest calorie count for any salad is 410 so any of those would be a good choice. Don’t get a soda don’t get diet soda, order an iced tea for zero calories, or order a Powerade mountain blast for lower calories.</p>
<p>Burger King</p>
<p>Whopper with cheese lover, I am but not for 770 calories! Order the whopper jr. for a slimmer 420 calories. What a difference, right! Better yet order a cheese burger for a lower 340 calories. For the chicken sandwich lovers order an Italian original chicken sandwich for 520 instead of an original chicken club for a large 690 calories. I would really stay away from the chicken sandwich altogether. Burger King has great salads in my opinion the best for a meal on wheels. The tendercrisp chicken salad is 420 calories and my personal favorite however the tendergrill chicken salad is much better at a low 240 calories. A small onion ring is 143 calories and a small fry is 229 go for the rings you know you want to. As for the drinks same goes, stay away from the sodas.</p>
<p>Taco Bell</p>
<p>Now this is a dieters dream. Taco bell has taken notice to the overweight world and decided to deliver the better choice. All I have to say about this is order it fresco style and you will not go wrong! The fresco menu is made for people watching calories. Most menu boards will tell you the calorie count in each fresco item. So head for the border and order some great fast diet food.</p>
<p>In conclusion you can still lose weight and keep that fast food loving feeling going strong. Now that you know a little more about what to order you can keep it in your diet and mold the rest of your diet around your fast food meal. Aim to keep your fast food meals 700 calories or lower depending on your weight loss goal.</p></div>

<p>Fast food is quick and easy and, with all the new dollar menus, it can be an affordable option, too. But eating too much of the wrong kind of fast food can be unhealthy, with loads of saturated fat and extra calories.<br />
Use these simple guidelines to easily choose the healthiest choices from each fast food menu.<br />
Salads tend to be among the healthiest options, as long as you aren&#8217;t slathering on the dressing. Some salad dressings contain just as many calories and fat grams as some of the more obvious diet wreckers. Take a look at the nutrition information on the dressing packet before you squirt it on your salad.<br />
Another hint: Try squeezing the dressing on the side and dipping just your fork into the dressing before each bite. That is a great way to control the amount of dressing you are consuming.<br />
Healthy fast food does not mean you are restricted to salads alone. There are lots of other options that are just as tasty and filling. You just need to recognize what is good and what is not:<br />
Try to avoid anything that has been deep fried in oil. French fries and chicken nuggets are not health foods.<br />
Avoid creamy sauces and loads of toppings, such as mayonnaise and extra helpings of cheese. Ask for extra vegetables, such as tomatoes and lettuce, instead.<br />
If you&#8217;re in a sub sandwich shop, substitute wheat bread for white bread, go easy on the meat and cheese and load up on vegetables. Skip the oil and the mayonnaise. And keep in mind that mustard adds a lot of flavor without the calories of mayo.<br />
When ordering soups, opt for a soup with a clear broth instead of the cream-based variety.<br />
Eat reasonable portions. Do not supersize or upsize anything. If you do, you&#8217;ll be eating far more than one serving. Avoid double burgers and burgers with a lot of extras, except vegetables.<br />
Make a conscious effort to slow down when you are eating. Fast food restaurants tend to be loud places where everyone is in a hurry, which are two factors that can lead to eating too fast. When we eat too fast, we tend to eat way more calories because we keep eating past the point of satiety. Chew each bite ten to twenty times and put down your hamburger (or your fork) between each bite. When you feel full, stop eating.<br />
You can also cut a lot of calories by opting for water or unsweetened iced tea, instead of a 16 ounce (or larger) soda or lemonade.<br />
In general, your best choices for healthy fast food are either a salad with minimal dressing, a small burger with no cheese, a grilled chicken sandwich, or a submarine sandwich on wheat bread.<br />
Many fast food restaurants are making an effort to provide healthy options.  Experiment with new foods and see if you can find new favorites instead of your standard burger with fries and a soda.</p></div>

Fast food and obesity has been a major link that makes the American dinning experience and unfortunately American Health most noteworthy to world specialists. About 60M of the American population is considered obese. Australia only comes second in the fast food craze and obesity maze. Most significantly is that the impending danger of fast food and obesity concern has become a world phenomenon.<br />

Primary is over-indulgence. Not only is fast food expensive and isolating; it is also over-eating tolerant. It&#8217;s true that it is sometimes a wonderful thing to be able to overcome your guilt to have yourself a treat, yet can you take the guilt of burdening your body with fast food and obesity?<br />
The problem with fast food and obesity is that it has become socially acceptable, even encouraged. Some call it expression, even freedom, equality. You see commercials of all sorts urging you get the latest dessert. You go to the mall and there&#8217;s a special line of plus sizes.
